Setting Up Multiple Company Auto Attendant Greetings on an NEC DSX

Posted: July 13, 2014 1:09 PM

Here we’re going to show you how to set up multiple companies, we get a lot of requests for setting up two or more companies off of the same IntraMail, and yes it can be done and it can have it’s own day/night greetings or 24/7 greetings, whatever you want to set up.  We’re assuming that you have looked at the Auto Attendant 101: Understanding Call Flow.   We’re also assuming that you’ve picked a particular type of call flow that you want, whether you want a day/night full time auto attendant or you want to ring your phones in an overflow, you have to look at those videos or you won’t understand what I’m doing here, because I’m only doing this as a small portion to show you hwo to do multiple companies.  The rest of it, you’re going to need to know how to program the rest of the system in order to do it.

So right now we’re on Line 1, says 101 (Ext), and in our other videos we’ve used Schedule 1 (Call Routing/Options) and the Default Mailbox is 801 because we use 801 and 802, 801 for day greeting, 802 for night greeting.  Let’s go to Line 2 (scroll with arrow at top to Line 2), and we’re going to say we’re going to do the same thing.  So we’re using Schedule 1 and the Default is 801 because that’s the day greeting.

Now let’s say you have another company on Line 3, so now what we’re going to do is we’re going to say, we’re going to use Schedule 2 and we’re going to change this (IntraMail Default Mailbox) to 803 because we used 801 and 802 for the day and night greeting for Company A on lines 1 and 2 and Company B on lines 3 and 4 we set them up as Schedule 2 and we’re going to use their main day greeting as the default.  That’s basically all you have to do.

Then you’re going to come in (Lines/Schedules on navigation pane) and you’re going to set up a Schedule 2 greeting in here (tab at top), schedule in here, based off the other videos.  You’re going to set up the Routing Mailboxes (IntraMail/Routing Mailboxes on navigation pane), you’ve got 801 here you would have Day for Company A, you would have night and weekends for Company B, you would come in here and 803 and you would say Day for Company B and you would set up 804 for nights and weekends which would be for B and then you would route this off of a different table, you would route it off of Table 2.

Let me go back and change that on 3 (Routing Mailbox) as well, and you would route that.  So routing mailbox 3 and 4, or 803 and 804 where you would record your day and night greeting, you would use Dial Action Table 2 and then you would come down here to Dial Action Table 2 (IntraMail/Dial Actions on navigation pane) right here and you would change it to Dial Action Table 2 (scroll with arrows at top) and you would make your one touches in here (Routing column).

Again, look at the other videos to see how all the rest of that is done based on call flow and the way that you want it done.  That’s pretty much how you do it to set up two different companies, that’s it!
