Multi Times or Multi Day Schedule with Overflow Auto Attendant on an NEC DSX
Posted: October 9, 2017 12:37 PMHere we’re going to show you how to set up a multiple time and day schedule greeting, and this is based off of a video that is our day/night overflow day and full-time nights and weekends tutorial. In other words, you want to ring your phones first, you want to overflow to your voicemail greeting if you can’t get to your phones during the day, which is what we have set up here, ring the phones first by Key Ring and then overflow to 801 day greeting and then nights and weekends, anything outside of this range is going to go to 802 automatically, and this is on an auto-schedule.
A lot of times doctors will use a multiple time and day schedule, dentists do the same, and they need this type of scenario set up, but you could use it for any business.
I am assuming that you have looked at the day/night overflow day and full-time nights and weekends auto attendant video because I’m going to go through this quickly and if you haven’t looked at that this might not make any sense to you.
So what I have as our example here is the overflow video that’s using day and night and we’re going to just modify it for the multi-day. So we’re going to come in here (double click on Line 1 to edit) and we’re going to say Day, Monday and Tuesday (Day MT in Name), and we’re going to leave it as Auto (Activation), because we want it to turn on automatically, we’re going to take these days away here (unclick all days except Monday and Tuesday under Schedule), and we’re going to say that we’re Monday and Tuesday we’re between 9:00 to 5:00, and we’re going to say Key Ring (Destination), which is the way we want it to be before, and IntraMail Overflow to 801 which is your day greeting, your Routing Mailbox 801 is where that greeting is recorded. So that’s all we have to do to modify this particular one to start. So we’re going to save this.
Now I’m going to come down to here (double click on Line 3) and we’re going to say Day again (in Name), and then we’re going to say a Wednesday and Thursday (Name is Day WTh), and we’re going to set it for Auto (Activation), we want it to turn on automatically, we want days to be Wednesday and Thursday, only this time we’re going to stay open until 7:00 PM (End Time), so let’s set it from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Again we want a Key Ring because we want to ring the phones first and then we want to overflow to IntraMail 801 because we want it to play our day greeting. So here we have it, Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 to 7:00, turns on automatically, but it rings the phones first then it goes to the greeting. So let’s save that.
Now let’s come down here (double click on Line 4 to create a new entry) and we’ll put in Day again (in Name) and we’ll put in Friday (Day F in Name), and we’re going to say Auto (Activation), and then we’re going to come down here and select Friday (Schedule), and then we’re going to say we’re only open until 1:00 PM on Friday, from 9:00 to 1:00, and again we want to ring our phones (Destination – Key Ring), and we want to come down here to IntraMail (Overflow) and put in 801 (Mailbox). Again, we want to play our day greeting. We’re going to save that.
So we’ve got these three different schedules set up, it’s going to ring the phones, it’s going to automatically play these greetings, turn them on and off at these times. It’s going to ring the phones first, then it’s going to overflow if you can’t pick up your phones, to 801, and then anything outside of these three ranges, it will always go to 802 which is your nights and weekends greeting, so that’s how you do it and it’ll work like a champ, that’s it!
